Coffee semifreddo

Since that lime semifreddo I made the other day has taken over my brain, I had to do something about that. Have you not made it? Oh my god, get to it. If lime isn't so much your thing, how about coffee? I made this with decaf, because I wanted to be able to eat this at night time. I can't have any caffeine after noon, or else I can't sleep.

This is super sweet, which makes it perfect to scoop into your coffee in the morning. It's a little too sweet to eat on it's own, but you can use half a can of condensed milk and more whipped cream if you'd like it less sweet, or don't want to put it in your coffee. Yum. Also, it separates a bit if you don't stir while it's freezing, but it really doesn't matter. Both the top and the bottom taste the same, it's just not as uniform.
Coffee semifreddo

1 can condensed milk (14 oz)
2/3 c very strong coffee
1/2 c heavy cream

Whisk together the condensed milk and coffee in a medium sized bowl, then set aside. Whip the heavy cream until it holds stiff peaks, then fold into the coffee mixture. Pour into a loaf pan and freeze until firm, stirring once or twice. Serve in your coffee.

Mmm semifreddo. Especially coffee flavored. I <3 coffee flavored desserts. And semifreddo is great for people like me who don't own an ice cream maker. :)

I love coffee anything - and I've never had or made semifredo. This seems like the perfect place to start!

I made this over the weekend and OH MY GOODNESS! It was delicious. I only used 2/3rds of the can of sweetened condensed milk and then 2/3 cup of whipping cream. It tasted just like my favorite Haagen Dazs coffee ice cream. Thank you so much for the recipe.
