Breakfast smoothie!

I've been thinking about smoothies lately. A few weeks back, I got a case of Pom from the nice people over at Pom Wonderful. I haven't been doing much with them besides adding them to other drinks (favorites include orange juice, or Sprite). I still have two left, and yesterday I made a delicious, healthy breakfast smoothie out of half of one. I've been eating a lot of Wallaby yogurt lately (it's gluten-free, like yogurt should be) too. My favorite that I could eat every day is the pink grapefruit one. I know, it sounds weird, but it's totally refreshing in a way that I didn't think that yogurt should be. I pulled some fruit out of the freezer (some freezer burned blueberries and peaches) and made a really good breakfast for myself.

Breakfast smoothie

1 container yogurt of your choice
1/2 c Pom juice
1 c frozen fruit (or fresh fruit if you live somewhere where fruit is fresh now)

Blend everything together in the blender. Process until smooth, and drink! You can add honey, or ice cubes, or milk, or anything else you want.

I love smoothies for breakfast. I've been using plain Silk yogurt with mine since I have a milk allergy. :)

  2. About a month ago my little local deli started stocking up the Pom bottles. The shape of the bottles were so appealing to me but the price kept me from every buying one. This is the third recipe I came across this week that included Pom juice. I am going to have to pick one up now!

Can anyone give me a hint of how it tastes?
