fast homemade french fries

I wanted some fries after work today, so I made some. I had a clean potato I had decided not to use last night with dinner, so I sliced it up into thin strips while I heated up about 1/4" of oil, fried them all at once about 3 minutes, drained them on a paper towel, salt and peppered them, and ate them up with BBQ sauce! YUM!
